[Mike - Echoes (WIP)]

Hmmm

I would have to say it's a different type of melody I'm used to. It's very abrupt and fast. It would be great to hear it finished, but I don't think this would be one of my absolute favorites. I'm used to the hard/trance/dance section of techno. I would find this hard to put into a genre.
I can't really see much that can be improved. Well good luck, finishing it.

Yeah, this song started as an ambient song, but I raised the bmp to 150 istead and turned it into a trance song. I adore Hardtrance and that are one of the things I whould like to make, but I dont know "how" to make it. But I guess I'll stick to "my" type of music atm :P

What to say..

The vocals have too much effects on them. Fire up the parametric EQ and up the mid to high pitch sounds. Also add some proper dance base. This is a epic dance song, and without the pumping base it's really not much more than a vocal and a kick.

Also at 0:31 there is some weird distortion happening with the kick. Possibly an overkill on the reverb. Right there from 0:30 would be a good time to chuck in the club/dance bass. At 1:00 when the lead comes in it's a bit blank and low volume. Up it a bit and add some delay/ slight reverb to it.

Also add some more percussion and experiment a bit because getting the percussion right is pretty important.
Overall 5/10 because there is still HEAPS to be fixed. 3/5

Yeah, the vocalist (Chaser), recorded some new vocals but I don't know if I should revive this project.
My first priorities are to finish "Transcendence" and "Lucid Dreaming" :P

I don't know what to say...

The bass line doesn't change a tune, sticks to a single note. Change it so it sticks to the melody, as I said in your last song. Something else I noticed. What's with the kick? Did you set the song on a tempo or just chuck ur kick in every second beat on the sequencer?
It's best to stick to a 4/4 beat, if it doesn't sound right, the problem is your melody.
a 4/4 beat is the best and easiest to work with when it comes to techno.

love benassi and his style!

Love the song although would have been nice if you had made a kind of 'ear candy' part at the end where you add a few massive leads and up the pitch. It's great for songs like this, gives a great ending. Overall nice work. Still some things that can be fixed like your rhythm in the percussion.
And yea good work, you did the benassi style well. 4/5 8/10

things you can improve..

Hey. Here are a few things you can improve.
1. The kick is heavily repetitive.
2. Can't really see a main melody.
3. Allow more time for transitions between sounds and tunes
4. Have a trance bass in the background instead of a bass kick because it shows you have more skill...
That's all I can think of right now. Keep it up! 5/5 10/10

You made this well, kind of inspires me to try out a dance/electro pop style :D
I loved the end melody but the outro was fairly basic. The intro wasn't too bad, did an alright job on that. But again the main melody was madd. The bass was good but you could have added some extra effects, I didn't hear too many =\.
Anyway gratz on top 5! Keep up the good work. 5/5 9/10
9/10 because it slightly sounded hollow and there could have been more going on. + there could have been more effects running.

Loved it!

As the title says I loved it! Great music, loved the bass and the melody, really addictive. Although at the end when you kick up the tempo it didn't sound right. It would have been better if you only kicked up the pitch in the melody, because the change it tempo, through the kick doesn't sound natural for the song.
Otherwise, great song: Downloaded. 5/5 10/10

This is um ****... Do something more constructive and make random flashes in the flash portal. There you will attract more attention than here.. trust me. There are lots of noobs in the flash portal like yourself. I'm not saying they all are noobs but the population is vastly growing.

Personally I think you slightly overdid the Supa Saw. Parts of the song sound out of tune and also it's a bit repetitive. Also try export it at a lower bit rate because 7.2mb is massive for a 3min clip. Something else you could do it add more percussion and effects. The snares are the start with the filter, to me the filter was too obvious and usually they sound better muffled a bit. Overall the songs okay for a beginner.
