Lol haha XD

wtf.. someone downloaded it.

I think someone finds you sexy.. Maybe that duck finds you sexy.

ShKahh responds:

It might be.

I make ducks hot apparently..
Not something to be proud of, but.. yeah. D:

Hey man.

Nice work. You made this pretty well. Yeah songs with well.. lots of nexus's and heaps of reverb pianos = lag like crap. But do u know about the audio buffer? Makes everything lag so much less.

Go options>audio options. And there should be a little bar. DirectSound and should say 44ms somewhere there. Drag the bar to about halfway.. 130-160 is good.
All the way makes everything worse.

But this like, gives your sound card more time to get the sounds out of fl = LESS LAG XD. It's freaking sick. If you get it right you can usually play it out in fl at about export quality.

But yeah, the song is nice. The melody was nice and slow, pretty relaxing. The pianos were very nice. Although the bass sounded kind of funny, I think I would have tried using a different one. I suspect you're using V Ultimate Bass yeah? Anyway. Good work, keep it up.

Try what I said, you won't regret it :D

Hey Scoop.

Sounds nice. I'd be interested in collabing, when I have some free time.
Add my msn, if you don't know it - it's hardstyle_brandon@hotmail.

To lower the lag, reduce some of the delay on nexus and bump up your audio buffer in fl

(Options>Audio Settings> and drag that little bar from 44ms to about 130 to play with not much lag, but change it back to about 60 when you want to play stuff on fl because the audio buffer gives fl more time to generate the sound you put in so there'll be a slight delay, i mean 20 extra ms - you wont see a change but at about 80-90 theres a noticable delay between the time u hit the key and it plays. But yeah try that)

Always works for me and I have a shitty computer with loads of shit running.
Talk to you later, I'll collab if you like my style.

DjSc00p responds:

I'd be glad to collab with you :). Im hoping to make this into a trance song maybe or something near that, so if thats your style then lets collab this lol. I'll try what you said and see if it helps, thanks a lot for the advice and how to fix it. I dont have msn so were going to have to talk through something else? Thanks for the review and score and give me a pm later when you have time and you want to collab.

O_O

Freaking awesome.!

At the beginning it slightly sounded like it had an asian music touch. But it's just the stuff you used that made me think that way. The percussion and the wavy violins and nice traditional chords sounded great.

Wish I could make stuff like this. It's a genre I want to make but don't listen to.
Keep up the good work!

Vei2y Nice!

Nice start to the year. I found this really peaceful and can see what you mean by the floating in space. You made a great atmosphere to the song.

I would also say I didn't really like the fuzzyness at about 1:25. I reckon if you continued to work from that pluck at 1:20 into a nice lead, it would turn out great. If this was my song I'd definitely go from there.

Loved the pads, effects and all the other stuff you put in :)

lol "vei2y nice".

Hmm... I will take into consideration of changing that synth out then. Upon your comment about the arp, I've already started layering over the melody with another synth to give it more of an impact.

I greatly appreciate your review.

HAYY! :)

Hey my NZ friend :P

Nice work. The lead's nice and the percussion is fairly good :D
For the intro I don't think you really needed like the first 30 seconds of the song.
I would only put that in if I was officially making a song for djs to use. Gives them leverage when djing but here, I think you could have cut it out for now.

I like the song, would love to hear it completed :D

Wow.

Loved it. The leads were good, the tune was catchy and the bass was fairly good. Only thing I didn't really like was the kick. Was a little punchy and didn't have much guts.

A nice hard club/trance kick would have pumped up the song and gave it more depth.

Keep up the Good work.

hmmm.

Hmm it might sound good and it's good to practice with Midis but I wouldn't submit them in as your own songs, I would say it's like pretty much submitting someone elses work up on here. I would say midis are tools and only tools to make songs.

I use midis sometimes to help me check for right notes in some hard melodies.
But that's pretty much it.

I wouldn't make too many songs using pure midis because like... it doesn't really need any skill and shows you're kind of lazy. Midis defeat the fun of actually trying to figure out the tune, and usually make you less interested in making the song.

About the sounds you used, I reckon the bell was fine, the percussion was pretty good. The main lead you used needed to be layered with another two or so leads to make it better. It sounded really plain. Also if you can, you need to learn how to add effects such as Reverb and Delay. It'll make everything sound much better.

But yeah, keep up the good work, try to make some more original stuff. It'll get you further than midis.

5/5 because I definitely had to bump it up from 0.74

DJ-Plasmaniac responds:

Thanks for the help, and the midi advice, though I am paticularly limited in what software I have actual knowledge of so far. Yes, I have heaps of stuff I never even consider using, but it's pretty much all midi and midi variations. (Also I have some weird thing about wanting to do EVERYTHING with at least some midi, just because of the nostalgia?)
I appreciate the reverb tips though. Thanks!

I r maekz music nao?
