Nice start to the year. I found this really peaceful and can see what you mean by the floating in space. You made a great atmosphere to the song.

I would also say I didn't really like the fuzzyness at about 1:25. I reckon if you continued to work from that pluck at 1:20 into a nice lead, it would turn out great. If this was my song I'd definitely go from there.

Loved the pads, effects and all the other stuff you put in :)

Hmm... I will take into consideration of changing that synth out then. Upon your comment about the arp, I've already started layering over the melody with another synth to give it more of an impact.

Nice work. The lead's nice and the percussion is fairly good :D
For the intro I don't think you really needed like the first 30 seconds of the song.
I would only put that in if I was officially making a song for djs to use. Gives them leverage when djing but here, I think you could have cut it out for now.

I like the song, would love to hear it completed :D

Wow.

Loved it. The leads were good, the tune was catchy and the bass was fairly good. Only thing I didn't really like was the kick. Was a little punchy and didn't have much guts.

A nice hard club/trance kick would have pumped up the song and gave it more depth.

Keep up the Good work.

Damn nice.

I must have clicked this link by mistake and in the background the song started up without me noticing. And without looking at the description or the name I instantly thought of the audio portal, this would so suit an actual theme song for the portal. Seriously.
Great work, keep it up.

hmmm.

Hmm it might sound good and it's good to practice with Midis but I wouldn't submit them in as your own songs, I would say it's like pretty much submitting someone elses work up on here. I would say midis are tools and only tools to make songs.

I use midis sometimes to help me check for right notes in some hard melodies.
But that's pretty much it.

I wouldn't make too many songs using pure midis because like... it doesn't really need any skill and shows you're kind of lazy. Midis defeat the fun of actually trying to figure out the tune, and usually make you less interested in making the song.

About the sounds you used, I reckon the bell was fine, the percussion was pretty good. The main lead you used needed to be layered with another two or so leads to make it better. It sounded really plain. Also if you can, you need to learn how to add effects such as Reverb and Delay. It'll make everything sound much better.

But yeah, keep up the good work, try to make some more original stuff. It'll get you further than midis.

Thanks for the help, and the midi advice, though I am paticularly limited in what software I have actual knowledge of so far. Yes, I have heaps of stuff I never even consider using, but it's pretty much all midi and midi variations. (Also I have some weird thing about wanting to do EVERYTHING with at least some midi, just because of the nostalgia?)

Ahh..

It's good and all but it's hardcore panned to the left.. which is very.. disturbing and I can't properly listen to it. Fix it please and reupload this. Also export it in a higher bitrate, there's too much static on the kick. Way to much static.

I really don't like the hardstyle expansion for Nexus. I rather make my own hardstyle leads from Dance Vol1 and layering the nexus presets.

I'll review this properly when you re upload it.
There's much to be improved.

I remember listening to that song ages ago.. Used to have it on my shuffle and it was a really loud song compared to the others on there, nearly blew my eardrums whenever that song came up. lol

That's a nice amusing way to leave newgrounds. Seriously how funny would it be, being ranked like 160th on newgrounds, faking your own newgrounds death and seeing how everyone reacts. If I was corky I would be ROFLING so hard right now from my newgrounds grave.

I respect him for leaving in the best and simplest way possible.

Check his prev posts, he's perfectly fine.. he even says Bye, as if he's leaving NG. It's a bit obvious since everyone is pretty much leaving newgrounds these days...

If I was gonna die tomorrow my NG account would be one of the last things I'd think about. Actually I wouldn't think about it at all...

Nice work!

Good work. Everything was great but I think those vox you used were a bit.. they broke the rhythm. "This is a journey into the sound" I know how to put it into rhythm but it'd be too hard to explain over the net.

The percussion was nice and the synths and leads were pretty nice too.
The overall mood was great and relaxing.

Good work, keep it up.

By No presets you mean you used sample packs yeah.

Just saying it'd be nice if you added in the Kate Lesing vocals, "it's a dream" to go with the melody. It's pretty much the same as Eastclubbers' It's a Dream.

Still I liked it. Keep up the good work. Good luck with he rest of your songs.
